It’s already May 2016 and with it comes May Day , Mother’s Day and least us not forget the 8th edition of Orange Appeal Magazine. We have been honored to collaborate with Christy Ashby and Kate Ashby-Slentz for the past 4 years, providing our services to various Orange Appeal functions as well as flowers for Kate’s wedding.
In the most recent issue they asked notable floral designs to submit “Spring Holiday Arrangements” for their feature spread of Fabulous Floral. Brian was inspired by fond memories of his late mother, so he created this Mother’s Day arrangement in her honor. In his words:
“ I remember her wearing this beautiful flair yellow dress and just looking so beautiful in it. I chose the white vase I am using because it reminds me of the flair of the skirt and the yellow flowers to pull the look together. All the flowers in this arrangement are either Florida or California-grown, which when I can, I prefer to use for freshness and less chemical additives for the harvesting of them.”
